Students, faculty, staff and members of the community came to Penn State DuBois today to celebrate Earth Day. The gym floor at the PAW Center featured numerous educational exhibits and several local organizations and businesses that highlighted their sustainability efforts.
As the calendar passes the halfway point of April, the baseball and softball teams at Penn State DuBois are preparing to close out their regular season schedules. With a busy week ahead for both teams, the Nittany Lions and Lady Lions will both be looking to build momentum in their push towards the playoffs in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference.
The Penn State DuBois Office of Student Engagement will welcome students and members of the public to Hiller Auditorium on Tuesday, April 23 for a performance from comedian Hayden Kristal.

The spirit of Penn State DuBois was fully alive and well during the inaugural We Are Weekend, a homecoming weekend event that took place on April 5 and 6. The event, which was a collaborative effort of the DuBois Educational Foundation, the Penn State DuBois Alumni Society and Penn State DuBois, featured multiple events throughout both days, culminating in the first Lions, Legacy, and Laughter event at the PAW Center.
As she often does during the spring sports season, Mother Nature once again forced both the baseball and softball teams at Penn State DuBois to adjust their schedules last week. However, both teams did get to compete over the weekend and now have another full week in store ahead.
Investing in student success has always been a priority at Penn State DuBois, not only for the faculty and staff at the campus, but also for the greater community. That sentiment was fully on display on Friday when students and donors gathered at the PAW Center for the annual scholarship luncheon.
The final week of March typically means a full schedule for both the baseball and softball teams at Penn State DuBois. This year was no different, with both teams playing six games last week. Now, both teams will be looking to find more successes this week, as a full slate of games is again on the schedule.
During spring break, when many students are enjoying time off or a vacation, several students from Penn State DuBois who are part of the Christian Student Fellowship (CSF) organization traveled to Kentucky to take part in a service trip to benefit those in need.
